MILLSBORO, Del. (November 15, 2014) –The Franklin Pierce University bowling team rounded out the final day of the UMES Hawk Classic, hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore, with a 2-1 day at Millsboro Lanes. Sunday's play was in the best-of-seven Baker format, where all five bowlers combine to bowl one game.

In the final day of the UMES Hawk Classic, the Ravens started the day sweeping Norfolk State in a 796-626 victory. The win followed by a 1,198 -1,081 loss to Monmouth, but they finished strong with another win against Norfolk State, 1,152- 1,086. The Ravens placed 15^th in the tournament.

The Ravens swept Norfolk State after only 4 games with a 796-626 victory. The third game was an impressive one for Franklin Pierce, knocking down 234 pins, compared to Norfolk's 156.

The fourth game in the match against Monmouth was a high for the Ravens, 237 pins versus Monmouth's 182. However, in the final match, Monmouth toppled 266 pins and the Ravens only dropped 148. Monmouth posted the win with 1,198 – 1,081.

In the final match of the day for the Ravens, they once again faced Norfolk State. The Ravens started out strong with 216 pins to 134 pins in the first match. Norfolk ended strong with 246 pins to 168 pins in the final game, however, the Ravens still took the win 1,152 to 1,086.

The Ravens next  tournament is the Virginia Union University (VUU) Invitational in Midlothian, VA at Bowl America.
