RINDGE, N.H. (August 19, 2015) – Earlier this summer, the Franklin Pierce University bowling team had three student-athletes travel to Chicago to compete in the United State Bowling Congress Junior Gold National Championship. Soon-to-be sophomores Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) and Nikki Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) along with incoming freshman Sarah Busse (Commack, N.Y.) competed at the tournament for a spot on the United States Junior Bowling squad.

Out of the 763 bowlers at the tournament, the crimson and grey's best performance came from Davies, who finished 158th overall. Her three-day, 15-game average of 176.29 put her in fine company, as she came up just short of the cut line (109 bowlers advanced through the qualifying stages). Vucak ended her rounds with an average of 162.79 to finish 397th, while Busse bowled herself an average of 155.86 to tie for 540th.
