Bowling’s Nicolette Vucak Named ECAC Rookie of the Week
Freshman helped Ravens cap season with win
RINDGE, N.H. (February 27, 2015) – Freshman
Nicolette Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) of the Franklin
Pierce University bowling team has been named ECAC Rookie of the
Week, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the Conference
office.
Vucak was a key piece of the puzzle in the program's first-ever tournament victory last weekend at the Hawk Flight Invitational, hosted by Monmouth. In Saturday's traditional matches -- during which the Ravens went 5-0 -- she averaged 180 pins across five matches, including a high of 203 against New Jersey City to open the day. Vucak also served as a key cog in the Ravens' Baker lineup, which went 4-1 on Friday and won all three best-of-seven matches on Sunday to clinch the title.
