Women's Basketball: Victory in Vermont, Ravens Blowout Purple Knights 62-44

COLCHESTER, V.T (12/15/2023) -- The Franklin Pierce women's basketball team won their second straight conference game on the road Friday night at the Ross Sports Center as they defeated St. Michael's 62-44.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Franklin Pierce outscored St. Michael's 40-30 in the first half. The Ravens only gave up 14 points in the second half as they took care of business, winning 62-44 against the Purple Knights.
• St. Michael's freshman guard Amber Furch led all scorers with 21 points and shot 8 for 12 from the field. She shot 5 for 7 from behind the arc.
• Two Ravens finished the night in double figures. Senior guard Anna Badosa Soler (Girona, Spain) had 15 points and shot 3 for 6 from the field. She shot 8 for 10 from the charity stripe. Senior forward Gisela Vazquez Segura (Igualada, Spain) played 22 minutes off the bench and had 11 points. She shot 5 for 8 from the field.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
• Franklin Pierce shot 42% from the field (22 for 53). St. Michael's shot 29% from the field (16 for 55)
• Franklin Pierce shot 42% from behind the arc (5 for 12). St. Michael's shot 35% from behind the arc (9 for 26).
