Franklin Pierce began the contest as Mya Mosley (Worcester, Mass.) took the opening tip-off right into the paint for two points. The Pierce lead extended to three, 7-4 when Woumn buried a three-ball from the right wing with the shot clock dwindling to zero. With 1:36 left in the first, Woumn drove into the paint corralling a feed from Mayo to up the edge to four, 16-12. Sophomore guard Cameron Graupman cut the Saint Rose deficit to one when she drained a three-ball. The Ravens led 16-15 after one period.

The back and forth action continued into the second quarter as the Golden Knights took a four-point lead via a Birthwright layup down low. A Claudia Tucci (Trumbull, Conn.) jumper and a Sophia Holmes (Oakland, Maine) three-ball from the top of the point, both assisted by Mosley regained the advantage to the host side. Trailing by two, Thacker ended the half by sinking a straightaway three to give the Ravens a 29-28 lead at the break.

In the third, the Ravens were behind by one possession, but they embarked on a 17-6 run to jump ahead by a game-high nine points 46-37 using a key block and steal by freshmen Hannah Martin (Woodland Hills, Calif.) and Demi Akins (Cambridge, Mass.). Martin capped the binge with two freebies from the charity stripe. Over the final 2:20 of the third, Saint Rose responded by closing the quarter with eight consecutive markers, which included an Ashley Vanderwall, contested corner trey to head into the fourth down one, 46-45.

In the final moments, with the game tied, Coach Wedo took a timeout and drew up a play for Mayo. Mosley fed her the rock underneath the rack and the senior forward spun off her defender and fisted the ball into the net to push the Ravens ahead 56-54. A few possessions later, Birthwright tied the game at 56 then Nina Fedullo kept the ball alive and put an offensive board up for two to regain the lead to Saint Rose. 18 seconds remained when Mosley tried to win the game, but she missed a three. The miss was cleaned up by Woumn who kicked the ball to Mosley who missed another attempt. Woumn cleaned the glass and put the second chance points in to tie the duel at 58-58. Saint Rose had a chance to leave Rindge victorious in regulation, but they turned the ball over with three seconds left.

In overtime, the Ravens drew first blood as Mayo dropped in a layup. About a minute later, Birthwright tied the contest by draining a mid-range jumper. Mosley matched Birthwright with a jumper of her own, but it was the last points of the match for the Ravens as a Takora McIntyre and1 one was the game clincher.
