Over the next two minutes, a Gemma transition layup and another McConnell three-point connection increased the Falcon lead to nine, 14-5 which forced the Ravens into a 30 second timeout. After the stoppage, Wilson caught and shot a three from the right wing off Thacker pass to make it a two possession game with 5:25 left in the first.

Wilson's strong shooting off the bench continued as she manufactured another three from the same spot to make it a four point game. A Gemma lay-in pushed the lead up to seven, 19-12 and then Wilson knocked down a jumper from the right elbow to cut into the Falcon lead. Bentley tallied six straight to end the quarter to head into the second stanza ahead by 11.
