CSFL All-Academic Team selections

RINDGE, N.H. (June 12, 2018) – Senior tight end Taylor DeForge (Bristol, Conn.) and senior offensive lineman Jack Ainsley (Averill Park, N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University sprint football team have been named to the inaugural edition of the Collegiate Sprint Football League All-Academic Team, as announced earlier this spring by the CSFL.

The criteria, per the CSFL: “Student-athletes on the CSFL All-Academic team must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and are selected by each school's respective coaching staff for displaying exemplary performance in their academic coursework. Each team in the league is represented by two student-athletes on the All-Academic team.” This is the first year of the program, which will become an annual postseason award for the CSFL.

DeForge, who held a 4.0 GPA as a business management major, played in five of seven games for the Ravens last fall. He finished the campaign with four catches for 39 yards (9.8 yards per reception).

For his part, Ainsley played in all seven of the team’s games, and posted a 3.88 GPA as a business management major. Though he spent the majority of his time as an offensive lineman, he did also catch one pass for four yards along the way.
