Autumn Suydam enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University softball team in 2019.

Suydam comes to Rindge after spending the 2017 and 2018 campaigns as a graduate assistant at fellow Division II member Southern Arkansas University, where she oversaw the team's hitting and outfield play. The Muleriders made NCAA Championship appearances in each of her seasons on campus, including a run to the national semifinal in 2018, which produced a 60-11 record to establish a new program high-water mark. The 2018 campaign earned Southern Arkansas' staff recognition as the Central Region Coaching staff of the Year from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Suydam's lineup produced the Great American Conference (GAC) Player of the Year during both of her seasons in The Natural State.

Prior to beginning her coaching career, Suydam also played at the Division II level, as she was a three-time All-GAC selection at East Central University, located in Ada, Oklahoma. A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America selection, she ultimately graduated with a perfect, 4.0 GPA and earned Central Region Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors from the NFCA as a senior in 2016. Suydam excelled on the field as well, as she earned NFCA All-Central Region First Team accolades as a junior in 2015, when she slashed .423/.460/.517 over 48 games for the Tigers. For her career, she hit .390 and was a two-time selection as East Central's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Originally from Keller, Texas, Suydam is a 2016 graduate of East Central University, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She earned her master's degree from Southern Arkansas University in 2018.
