Bio
2008:
Hit 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and two runs scored
against Babson (3/17), then followed up with another three-hit game
in a win over Manchester (3/18). Doubled and drove in two runs
while scoring once against Hope International (3/21).
2007:
The only Ravens player to appear in every game, starting all 38
contests. Led the team with a .291 average, 37 hits and 15 RBI.
Went 2-for-4 with a career-high four RBI in win over Wooster
(3/17). Had her first career four-hit game in four at-bats and also
scored twice in win over Plymouth State (3/18). Blasted her first
career home run, a two-run shot, against American International
(3/31). Went 1-for-4 with three RBI against UMass Lowell (4/3).
Recorded three hits versus Southern Connecticut State (4/22).
2006:
Appeared in 36 games at second base for the Ravens. Recorded 15
hits in 91 at-bats with four doubles, three walks, nine runs scored
and nine RBI. Led the Ravens to a 15-0 win over Saint Joseph
College with two hits, two runs scored and one RBI (3/20). Posted a
1-for-2 performance with one run scored and two RBI in an 8-0 win
over Bentley College (4/25). Chipped in two hits, one run scored
and one RBI against Southern New Hampshire University (4/27).
Before Franklin Pierce:
A 2005 graduate of Archbishop Williams High School. Four-year
letterwinner in softball and swimming. Captained both teams during
her senior year. Earned All-Scholastic honors for softball during
her junior and senior seasons, while earning All-Star honors all
four years.
Personal:
Born April 19, 1987, in Boston, Mass. Daughter of Mike and Mary
Ellen Matthews. Has a brother, Michael (18) and a sister, Emily
(16). Majoring in biology at Franklin Pierce. Supports the Boston
Red Sox.
