Bio
2008:
Tied the program record with five RBI in a win over Manchester
(3/18), hitting a two-run double in her first at-bat and smacking a
three-run homer in her second time at the plate. Completed the day
with a 2-for-4 showing against Doane, driving in two and scoring
once.
2007:
Appeared in 32 games in the outfield, making 30 starts for the
Ravens. Recorded five hits, including one home run, and four RBI on
the season. Also led the team with 15 walks on the year. Tied a
career-high with two hits and two runs scored in a win over Wooster
(3/17). Knocked in a career-best two runs with a home run against
Plymouth State (3/18). Went 2-for-3 with a double against Southern
New Hampshire (4/23).
2006:
Appeared in 38 games in right field for the Ravens. Totaled 17
hits, two doubles, one homerun, eight runs scored and nine RBI,
while collecting a team-high 13 walks. Led the Ravens to a
season-opening win over Bowdoin College with two hits, one double,
and one run scored (3/19). Registered a 2-for-4 performance with
her first collegiate home run, one run scored and one RBI against
Stonehill College (4/3). Posted two hits, including a double,
against Saint Anselm College (4/18).
Before Franklin Pierce:
A 2005 graduate of Norwalk High School. Three-sport athlete,
lettering in field hockey basketball and softball. Four year member
of the softball team, serving as captain during her senior season.
Earned All-ECIAC and All-area honors in softball and field
hockey.
Personal:
Born August 9, 1987, in Norwalk, Conn. Daughter of Bill and
Jeannine Howard. Has a sister LeeAnn (24), and a brother, Mike
(18). Majoring in physical therapy with aspirations of attaining a
doctorate in the field. Serves as a student athletic trainer and is
also a member of the field hockey team.
