Men's & Women's Rowing Close Out Fall Season at Amherst Fall Festival

Men finish fourth out of four

HADLEY, Mass. (October 26, 2013) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s rowing teams closed out their 2013 fall season on Saturday by competing in the Amherst Fall Festival Regatta in Hadley, Mass.

Both teams entered varsity-four boats in the race, as the women’s squad finished third out of four teams. No official times were available as of story publication, just the final placings. The women’s four boat consisted of Nicole Rode at the stroke, Leah Kaczanowicz at the three, Paige McGroarty at the two, Hayley Brown at the bow, and Mary Quinn as the coxswain. Amherst and Connecticut College finished first and second, respectively, in the race.

The men’s team placed fourth out of four boats, and included Jackson Dean at the stroke, Chris Cotta at the three, Jason Pranulis at the two, Joe Wilhelmy at the bow and Bianca Baldelli as the coxswain. Amherst won the race, followed by Clark in second place.
