RINDGE, N.H. (January 30, 2019) – Freshman Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team is headed for the USA Track & Field Cross Country Championships this weekend. The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 2, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.

Fenoff will be competing in the junior men’s race, which is an 8k event reserved for the best U20 runners in the country. As of this writing, the published field consisted of just 51 participants, and featured student-athletes from major, Division I programs, such as UCLA, Michigan, Florida State, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State and Stanford, among others.

“Riley was our number one cross country runner throughout the fall as a freshman, as he won the Bruce Kirsh Cup and also collected All-Northeast-10 honors,” said head coach Zach Emerson. “He also proved to be one of the best freshmen in the region and perhaps the nation. We look forward to seeing how he does when going up against the best freshmen in the entire country, including some from very large, historic Division I programs.”

The men’s junior championship is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. Live video is available on a pay-per-view basis through USATF.tv, the USATF’s subscription streaming service.
