Men’s Cross Country Places Third at Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup

HOPKINTON, N.H. (September 16, 2017) – Sophomore Jeff Reddy (Chester, N.H.) led the way with a sixth-place finish on Saturday, as the Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team placed third, of six teams, while hosting the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Three Ravens finished in the top 20 on the day.

"They ran stronger than expected, especially Jeff Reddy, who seems to run faster the more tired he is," said head coach Zach Emerson after the meet. "About eight weeks until NCAA Regionals, and this team can make some noise if they keep working this hard.

The Ravens finished the day with 73 points, which was comfortably good for third place. Southern New Hampshire (25 points) claimed the team title, while Southern Connecticut State (47 points) placed second. Behind Franklin Pierce, Bentley (118 points) was fourth, SUNY Polytechnic Institute (128 points) was fifth, and New Hampshire Technical Institute (168 points) was sixth.
