B.J. Smith Named NE-10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the Second Time
Two rookie-of-the-week awards are tied for the most in the league this season

University men’s cross country standout B.J. Smith
(Concord, N.H.) on Tuesday was named the Northeast-10
Conference Rookie of the Week for his solid performance this past
Saturday at the prestigious Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa.
It marked the second time in the last three weeks Smith was named the rookie of the week, as his two weekly honors are tied for the most in the conference this season.
Smith finished 43rd out of 372 runners in a time of 26:22 in the men’s white race at the Paul Short Run. His performance helped the Ravens nab an impressive sixth-place finish out of 46 teams, as Franklin Pierce was the highest finishing Division II school in the race and placed ahead of 15 Division I entrants.
Franklin Pierce returns to action Saturday when the Ravens compete in the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
