Ryan Cross turns in strong 45th place showing

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 20, 2012) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team turned in a solid ninth place showing out of 16 teams on Saturday at the 2012 Northeast-10 Conference Championship, held at Jamesville Beach County Park in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Ravens were led by freshman harrier Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.), who placed 19^th in a time of 26:22.4 in the 8k race.

Ham was one of three Ravens to finish among the top-50 in the individual standings as the Ravens totaled a score of 242 points. Stonehill won the team championship with a score of 60, while American International followed in second with 61 points.

Franklin Pierce also received strong performances from freshman Ryan Cross (Suffern, N.Y.) and sophomore J.T. Trujillo (Derry, N.H.) as they placed 45^th and 50^th, respectively, in times of 27:36.3 and 27:39.4.

Rookies Isaac Fithian (Kingston, N.H.) and Eric Gallos (Ventnor, N.J.) rounded out the top-five for the Ravens as they placed 59^th and 69^th, respectively. Fithian produced a time of 28:01.7, while Gallos had a mark of 28:36.3.

Franklin Pierce returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 4, when the Ravens compete in the NCAA East Regional Championship in Nashua, N.H. The 10k race will start at 12 p.m.
