MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 4, 2019) – Sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) took home the hardware as the Northeast-10 Conference champion in the 800 meters on Saturday, as he led the way for the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team on the second and final day of the NE10 Championships, hosted by Southern New Hampshire. He was one of two medalists on the day for the Ravens, who finished the two-day meet in eighth place, out of 11 teams.

In all, the Ravens had five individuals and a pair of relays score 36 points on Saturday. Combined with eight points from Friday's competition, Franklin Pierce finished with 44 points overall. At the top, Southern Connecticut State piled up 207 points to claim its third straight NE10 outdoor title. The Owls were followed by Merrimack in second place (119 points) and American International in third (111 points).

Arlabosse was the highlight of the day for the Ravens, as he claimed the crown in the 800 meters. His winning time of 1:51.95 earned Franklin Pierce 10 points and also met the NCAA Championships provisional qualifying standard in the event.

Joining Arlabosse's win and a second-place finish from freshman Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) in the 10,000 meters on Friday, junior Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) made it three medalists overall for the Ravens. He took second in the 400-meter hurdles for eight points, with a time of 53.45 seconds. The NE10 awards medals to the top three finishers in each event.

Fenoff did not medal again, but doubled back to score in a second event on Saturday. He finished sixth in the 5000 meters, with a time of 15:28.73, to chalk up three more points.

Franklin Pierce's remaining two scoring athletes on Saturday both put together top-five finishes. Freshman Croix Albee (Trenton, Maine) took fourth in the shot put (14.49m) for five points, while junior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.) finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:34.63) for four points.

A pair of relays rounded out the scoring at the meet for the Ravens. The 4x800-meter relay earned five points with a fourth-place finish, as Guay, junior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.), sophomore Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) and Arlabosse combined to post a time of 8:04.65. The 4x100-meter team added a solo point with an eighth-place finish. Freshman Ethan Pezzullo (Bristol, R.I.), freshman Devin Jones (Manchester, N.H.), junior Gerald Leith (Dorchester, Mass.) and Guay got the baton around the track in 43.11 seconds.

Rua was also the recipient of the NE10's Elite 24 Award at the meet. In its inaugural year, the Elite 24 Award recognizes the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the finals site of each of the Conference's 24 championships.

The Ravens return to action on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, when they travel to the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut State in New Haven, Conn.
