Biunno (Long Jump), Shuttle Hurdles Relay Compete for Men’s Track & Field on Second Day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA (April 29, 2016) – Senior Vinny Biunno (Montgomery, N.Y.) and a shuttle hurdles relay team represented the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team on Friday at the second day of the prestigious Penn Relays, at Franklin Field.

Biunno competed in the College Men's Long Jump on Friday at Franklin Field. He turned in a mark of 6.24 meters, nearly a half-meter short of his season best, to finish 34th.

The Ravens also featured a team in the College Men's Shuttle Hurdles Championship of America. The squad was clocked at 1:04.98, which would have put them 11th, but they were disqualified.

Saturday marks the final day of the Penn Relays, with the Ravens scheduled to have graduate student Andre Wooten compete in the College Men's Triple Jump, while also fielding a team in the College Men's 4x800-meter Championship of America Invitational.
