Men's Track and Field Compete at Scarlet & White Invitational and the Tuft's Cupid Challenge

 BOSTON, Mass. (January 7, 2015)- The Franklin Pierce Men's Track and Field team competed in two events this weekend, the Tuft's Cupid Challenge in Medway, Mass. and the Scarlet & White Invitational  hosted by Boston, University in Boston, Mass. The team finished 11th out of 20 at Tufts, while there was no team scoring at the Scarlet & White Invitational.

At the Scarlet & White Invitational,  sophomore Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) placed fourth out of 46 in the 800 meters race with his time of 1:51.13, while Matthew Carpenter placed 23rd with a time of 1:56.47.

Senior Antoine Gisore (Concord, N.H.) placed sixth out of 35 in the mile with a time of 4:14.45.

Meanwhile, at the Tufts Cupid Challenge, junior Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.) placed 13th out of 46 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:02.59 while freshman Joshua Ercolini (Woburn, Mass.) placed 14th with a time of 2:03.40.

Senior Makopa Rugabirwa (Concord, N.H.) placed 10th out of 38 in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:38.35, while sophomore Joey Souza (West Bridgewater, Mass.) placed 14th with 2:41.38 and freshman Martin Gradijan (Lebanon, N.H.) placed 15th with a time of 2:43.19.

Sophomore Mark Choiniere (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) placed 11th in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.10.

Junior Ryan Dionne (Amesbury, Mass.), senior Kevin Sadoski (Glastonbury, Conn.), sophomore Cory Cataldo (Tewksbury, Mass.), and junior Vincent Biunno (Montgomery, N.Y.) placed first in the 4 x 200 Relay with a time of 1:32.65.

Biunno placed third out of 15 in the High Jump at 1.88 meters, while placing fourth out of 20 in the pole vault at 4.00 meters, matching his season-best and remains tied for 5th in the Northeast-10. 

Cataldo placed sixth out of 43 in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.37 meters, while freshman Rindal Pierre-Canel (Randolph, Mass.)  placed  11th with a distance of 6.13 meters.

Sophomore Mark Josselyn (Halifax, Mass.)  placed 11th out of 30 in the Weight Throw a distance of 12.03 meters, while junior Chris Bohi (Loudon, N.H.) placed 12th with 12.02 meters.

The Raves return to action Friday, February 13th at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University in Boston, Mass.
