Soon-to-be junior also places third in Elite Invitational 800m

HAMILTON, Bermuda (August 4, 2015) – Soon-to-be junior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field captured the U20 national title in the 1500 meters in his native Bermuda earlier this summer at the National Sports Center. It was one of two events Minors participated in at the XL Catlin Bermuda National Athletics Championships.

Minors was one of three participants in the U20 edition of the 1500 meters in June. His time of 4:06.19 was good enough to claim the title by more than 30 seconds over David Darrell.

Though he claimed the crown in the 1500, Minors' more impressive time came in the Elite Invitational Open edition of the 800 meters, where he finished third. The two-time defending Northeast-10 Conference champion in the event, Minors bettered his best collegiate time with a 1:49.40, to finish less than a half-second behind the first-place finisher, Shaquille Dill.
