Mike Abrams Named Northeast-10 Track Rookie of the Week

Abrams earned his fourth Northeast-10 Track Rookie of the Week
selection of 2012-13.RINDGE, N.H. (May 13, 2013) – Freshman Mike Abrams (Newark, N.J.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's track and field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Track Rookie of the Week for the week ending on May 12, as announced Monday by the Conference office.
Abrams and the rest of the Ravens ran at the NEICAAA Championship over the weekend, where he earned All-New England honors by finishing fourth in the 200-meter dash (22.06). He was the fourth Franklin Pierce student-athlete to earn All-New England honors for the Ravens over the course of the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2012-13. In addition to the 200-meter performance, Abrams anchored a 4x100-meter relay team which ran its fastest time of the year (42.54), and the third-fastest time in the Northeast-10 on the season, to finish 10th.
It is the second Track Rookie of the Week selection of the outdoor season for Abrams, who was also honored for the week ending on March 24. He was also honored as Track Rookie of the Week twice during the indoor season as well. As a team, the Ravens have now earned a combined nine Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week selections during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.
