Men's Tennis Has Trio Named to NE10 All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. (4/19/23) – Shortly after the men's tennis season came to a close, the Northeast-10 Conference released its selectees of All-Conference recognition on Wednesday, April 19th, naming three individual members of the Franklin Pierce program as recipients.

Seniors Nkrumah Patrick (Tunapuna, Trinidad & Tobago) and Joé Herin (Tias, Spain) were named as co-honorees for No. 3 doubles with Adelphi's Reece Farrow and Marko Jovanovic. This past season, Patrick and Herin posted a 3-1 overall record as a doubles pairing, out-winning opponents by a 22-17 set margin. The duo earned all three victories as part of a three-game unbeaten streak over the final four matches of the regular season.

In his first collegiate season, freshman Orlando Guerrero (Pachuco, Mexico) made his debut in the team's March 11th matchup at MIT, where he posted a victory with Nkrumah Patrick as the No. 3 doubles pair, 6-2. In total, Guerrero posted a 2-4 overall record in singles competition, as well as a 2-1 mark in doubles, and additionally played a match with Joé Herin in the same doubles spot. As a result, Guerrero garnered All-Rookie recognition from the NE10 Conference on Wednesday.

For all three players, it is their first time receiving All-Conference recognition in their collegiate careers.

Men's tennis' season officially came to a close this past weekend with a 5-2 win over Daemen University on Sunday, April 16th. The program finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 5-11 overall record, going 1-5 overall in Northeast-10 Conference play.
