Mens Tennis Shutout By Adelphi, 9-0
Ravens conclude fall season
RINDGE, N.H. (October 17,
2009) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s
tennis team was defeated, 9-0, by Adelphi in Northeast-10
Conference play at Franklin Pierce on Saturday. With the loss,
Franklin Pierce concludes the fall portion of its schedule 0-3 (0-3
Northeast-10).
Sophomore Ben Brewer (Brattleboro, Vt.) put up the
biggest fight of the day for the Ravens. He extended his first set
against Adelphi senior Bandar Kayali before falling 6-4, 6-1 at
third singles.
All six Panthers were victorious in both singles and doubles on the
afternoon. After winning their respective doubles matches, junior
Anton Voynov and junior Leonard Bruno posted 6-0, 6-1 wins in
second and fifth singles, respectively.
