Mens Tennis Falls At Saint Michaels, 8-1
Brewer posts singles win
Max Logan and the Ravens fell at Saint Michael's on Sunday.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 5, 2008)
– The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team was
defeated on the road, 8-1, by Saint Michael’s on Sunday
afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference play.
Freshman Benjamin Brewer
(Brattleboro, Vt./Brattleboro Union) picked up the lone
point of the day for the Ravens. He defeated junior Craig Lindabery
(Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) of Saint Michael’s,
6-3, 3-6, 6-2 in third singles.
In third doubles, Brewer and senior Helder Noguiera (Dourados, Brazil) held
their own before falling 8-5 against Saint Michael’s seniors
John Lescure (Kennebunk, Maine/Berwick Academy) and Sean
Steigerwald (North Andover, Mass./North Andover).
Lescure and Steigerwald, along with senior David Besserer
(Brattleboro, Vt./Brattleboro Union) and junior Adam Brezinsky
(South Hadley, Mass./South Hadley), were victorious in both singles
and doubles for the Purple Knights.
The Ravens (0-3, 0-3 NE-10) return to the court on Saturday,
October 11, when they travel to take on Colby-Sawyer in a
non-conference contest at 10:30 a.m. in New London, N.H. Saint
Michael’s (2-0, 2-0 NE-10) has concluded the fall portion of
its schedule.
