Mens Tennis Puts Two On Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll

Helder Noguiera is among two Ravens named to the Northeast-10
Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 21, 2008) –
Freshman Ryo Miyazaki (Tokyo,
Japan) and senior Helder
Noguiera (Dourados, Brazil) of the Franklin Pierce
University men’s tennis team has been named to the
Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on
April 19.
Miyazaki posted a 2-0 record in a pair of singles matches last
week. At Assumption on April 13, he recorded a 6-1, 6-2 victory
over Jerry Reilly in fifth singles. Then, on April 15 at Saint
Anselm, he tallied a 6-3, 6-3 win in fifth singles against Thomas
Pickin.
Noguiera also notched a 2-0 singles record last week and added a
1-1 doubles record as well. At Assumption, he notched a 6-4, 6-3
win in first singles over Steve Tlumacki and teamed with sophomore
Adit Phataraprasit (Bangkok,
Thailand) to drop a close, 8-5 decision in first doubles to
Tlumacki and Jimmy Mongello. At Saint Anselm, Noguiera collected a
pair of wins with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Conor McCormack in first
singles and a 9-7 victory with Phataraprasit against McCormack and
Ryan Garrette in first singles.
The Ravens concluded its season at 1-10, including 1-9 in the
Northeast-10.
