Mens Tennis Shutout At Merrimack, 9-0
Ravens back in action March 29 at Assumption

Wednesday afternoon.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (March 25, 2009)
– The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team was
shutout on Wednesday afternoon, 9-0, by Merrimack in Northeast-10
Conference play.

Noguiera (Dourados, Brazil) had among the strongest showings
of the day for the Ravens, but he was defeated, 6-3, 6-1, by
Merrimack freshman Rishi Rajpal (New Delhi, India).
In all, four Merrimack players posted victories in both doubles and
singles. The Warriors did not drop a game in doubles play, as they
won all three matches by 8-0 scores.
The Ravens (0-6, 0-5 NE-10) return to the court on Sunday, March
29, when they travel to Assumption for a Northeast-10 Conference
match at 1 p.m. in Worcester, Mass. Merrimack (7-2, 4-0 NE-10)
returns to action on April 3 at Stonehill.
