Mens Tennis Blanked By Pace, 9-0
Ravens back in action March 24 at Merrimack
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (March 13, 2009)
– The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team
opened the spring portion of its 2008-09 schedule on Friday
afternoon with a 9-0, neutral-site loss to Pace in Northeast-10
conference play.

Willard (Munich, Germany) had among the strongest showings
of the day for the Ravens, but he was defeated, 6-2, 6-3, by Pace
senior Jose Caceres (Mt. Kisco, N.Y./La Merud).
In all, five Pace players posted victories in both doubles and
singles. The Setters did not drop a game in doubles play, as they
won two matches by 8-0 scores and a third by default.
The Ravens (0-5, 0-4 NE-10) return to the court on Tuesday, March
24, when they travel to Merrimack for a Northeast-10 Conference
match at 3 p.m. in North Andover, Mass. Pace (1-5, 1-4 NE-10)
returns to action on March 22 at Stonehill.
