Merrimack Sweeps Franklin Pierce, 9-0
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (March 28, 2007) - Merrimack College rolled to a 9-0 victory over Franklin Pierce in Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action today.
Senior Dan Hrobak (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin) and sophomores John Seaward (Pomfret, Conn./Woodstock Academy), Adam Wilding (Lewiston, Maine/Lewiston) and Steve Viglione (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) were all double-winners for Merrimack in the victory. Seaward posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles after combining with Wilding for an 8-6 decision at No. 1 doubles. Wilding also posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
Franklin Pierce (1-2, 1-2 NE-10) is back in action tomorrow when it hosts Stonehill College at 4 p.m. Merrimack (3-8, 1-5 NE-10) hosts Le Moyne College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
