Bentley Defeats Franklin Pierce, 9-0
RINDGE, N.H. (April 11, 2007) - Bentley College posted a 9-0 victory over Franklin Pierce in Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action this afternoon.
Seniors Greg Avola (Framingham, Mass./St. John's) and Greg Maloomian (Needham, Mass./Noble & Greenough) led the double-winners for Bentley as the pair each posted singles victories after combining to post an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles. Avola was a 6-3, 6-4 victor at No. 1 singles, while Maloomian notched a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 2.
Franklin Pierce (1-7, 1-7 NE-10)
hosts American International College tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Bentley
(10-9, 9-2 NE-10) rounds out the regular season tomorrow against
Wesleyan College at 3:30 p.m.
