Assumption Downs Franklin Pierce, 9-0
WORCESTER, Mass. (March 31, 2007) - Assumption College collected its 108th consecutive Conference victory with a 9-0 decision over Franklin Pierce in Northeast-10 action today.
Junior Antonio Recalde (Ciudad del Este, Paraguay) led the double-winners for Assumption as he collected a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles after combining with senior Matt Stopp (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) for an 8-0 triumph at No. 1 doubles. Stopp also notched a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.
Franklin Pierce (1-4, 1-4 NE-10) is
back in action on Wednesday when it visits Saint Michael's College
on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Assumption (7-0, 5-0 NE-10) visits
Stonehill College on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
