Le Moyne Edges Franklin Pierce, 5-4
RINDGE, N.H. (April 8, 2006) - Le Moyne College won two of three doubles matches and held off Franklin Pierce in singles play to post a 5-4 victory in Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action this afternoon.
Sophomore Codi Kosmoski (Mt. Markham, N.Y.) won the deciding match for Le Moyne with a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Franklin Pierce freshman Joshua Sigsworth (Greenfield, Mass./Greenfield) at No. 5 singles.
Franklin Pierce sophomore Austin Gardella (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) posted a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) victory over junior Frank Donaldson (Brewerton, N.Y.) that gave the Ravens a 4-3 lead entering the final two singles matches.
Franklin Pierce (1-7, 1-7 NE-10) is back in action on Tuesday when it visits American International College at 3:30 p.m. Le Moyne (7-4, 6-2 NE-10) hosts Bryant University tomorrow at 11 a.m.
