Franklin Pierce Falls to Defending NE-10 Champ Assumption, 9-0
NASHUA, N.H. (April 3, 2001) - The Franklin Pierce men's tennis team dropped a tough 9-0 decision to defending Northeast-10 Conference Champion Assumption College at the Nashua Swim and Tennis Club this afternoon.
Freshman Darko
Minic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) was the victim of the
match of the day as he dropped a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 decision to
Alex Maurigal at the No. 3 singles spot. Senior
Brian Kusher (Merrimack, N.H.) was defeated by the
Region's top player,
Sean Kenney,6-3, 6-3.
Franklin Pierce (8-5, 3-2 NE-10) returns to action this weekend, when it participates in the Bloomsburg University Tournament Friday through Sunday.
