Kolakofsky Highlights Raven Yearly Awards With First Team Selection

RINDGE, N.H. (October 31, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University junior midfielder Noam Kolakofsky (Achziv, Israel) has been selected to the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference First Team it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

In addition to Kolakofsky's First Team nod, junior defender Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) was named to the NE10 Second Team, sophomore forward Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany), junior midfielder Jacob Maddox (Southborough, Mass.) and senior defender Jordan Barnett (Grimsby, England) were chosen to the Third Team and freshman defender Bastian Thormeier (Munich, Germany) captured All-Rookie Team honors.

Kolakofsky, a NE10 Second Team choice last year and a two-time NE10 Player of the Week appeared in 13 games for the Ravens including 10 starts. He led the squad with a career-high seven goals and tied for first in points (15). He also ranked first on the team leaderboard in shots (65), shots on goal (37) and game-winning goals (4). In conference play, Kolakofsky led the league in shots on goal (35), ranked second in game-winning goals (4), second in shots (62), eighth in goals (7) and ninth in points (9). Kolakofsky recorded a season-best four points (two goals) in the Ravens 2-0 shutout of Bentley University on October 6th. He also tallied the game-winner during the 70th minute in the 1-0 upset of #7 Southern New Hampshire on October 12th.

Laudahn, a 2016 NE10 All-Rookie Team honoree, was a key cog in the Raven defensive unit along with Jordan Barnett and Bastian Thormeier. The Raven defense allowed the third fewest goals in the league this year (20) along with the third best goals-against average (1.09). Their five shutout victories ranked fifth in conference play. Laudahn assisted on Yannik Felber's game-winner in the 75th minute of the Ravens 3-1 defeat of Saint Michael's College on October 9th.

Felber was a NE10 All-Rookie Team selection during the 2017 campaign. This season Felber set new personal-bests in games played (18), games started (17), goals (6), assists (3), points (15), shots (43), shots on goal (21) and game-winning goals (3). Felber was second on the Ravens in goals and assists and tied with Kolakofsky for the team lead in points. The sophomore notched five points (two goals, one assist) in a 3-1 Raven win at New Haven on September 30th. He followed that up with a four-point (two goals) effort a couple of weeks later in a 3-1 victory at the hands of Saint Michael's on October 9th.

Maddox matched his career-high in assists this season (2). He helped out on Felber's game-winner in the 3-1 win at Saint Michael's and added another dime on Felber's sixth goal of the season during the 1-1 tie against Stonehill on October 26th.

Franklin Pierce ended their season with a 7-10-1 overall mark and 6-6-1 record in NE10 play.
