Poon-Lewis, Felber Earn NE10 Weekly Awards

RINDGE, N.H. (September 18, 2017) – Franklin Pierce University men's soccer players Jadel Poon-Lewis (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago) and Yannik Felber (Koblenz, Germany) have been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference with the Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week awards it was announced Monday afternoon by the league offices. It is the first time Poon-Lewis has earned top goalie honors this season and the second consecutive week Felber has been named the top rookie.

Poon-Lewis started in two games for the Ravens and went 2-0-0 earning two shutout victories last week. In their win against #25 Le Moyne on Tuesday, he made one save in the 1-0 double-overtime victory. On Saturday, he earned his third straight shutout with a four-save performance in a 2-0 win versus Assumption. Poon-Lewis currently leads NE10 goalies in save percentage (.929), goals against (1) and goals against average (0.24). His save percentage and goals against average ranks seventh in the nation. He hasn't allowed a goal during his last 324:50 minutes in net.

Felber tallied the game winning goal in the Ravens 2-0 win versus Assumption on Saturday when he headed home a 60 yard free kick from midfield off the foot of Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand). The goal was his third of the season.

The Ravens look to run their win streak to five games when they host NE10 opponent The College of Saint Rose on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
