RINDGE, N.H. (October 4, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team was ranked by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as the Fourth overall team in the East Region during the week five edition of the 2016 Regional Rankings released today.

The Raven men also earned two votes in the NSCAA NCAA Division II Men National Poll.

The rankings were posted by the NSCAA on their official website.

LIU Post (9-0-0) hold the top spot in the regional rankings followed by Northeast-10 schools Adelphi (6-1-1) and Merrimack (8-1-0).

The Ravens (6-2, 4-2 NE-10) shocked the previously #2 nationally-ranked and NE-10 opponent Southern New Hampshire University 1-0 last Wednesday night on Marius Preber's (Jessheim, Norway) 88th minute tally. Preber currently leads the conference in scoring with eight goals and ranks second in points (16) behind teammate Jacob Blixt (Borrby, Sweden).

As a team, FPU has the second best scoring attack in the league as they've put up 19 goals in eight games. The Raven men rank third in assists (14) and fourth in total points (52) as well.

The Ravens return to Sodexo Field on Friday when they host NE-10 opponent Saint Anselm for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
