Men’s Soccer Has Four Honored by Northeast-10 Conference

Two earn All-Conference nods, two on All-Rookie Team

All-Northeast-10 Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (November 5, 2015) – Graduate student midfielder David Magee (Lurgan, Ireland) of the Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team, as announced on Thursday afternoon by the Conference office. In addition, senior forward Marius Preber (Jessheim, Norway) was selected to the All-Northeast-10 Second Team, while freshman midfielder Lloyd Ross (London, England) and freshman back Jordan Barnett (Grimsby, England) were both named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

Both Magee and Preber earn their first career All-Conference nods with the selections.

Magee started all 17 games in the midfield as a tri-captain for the Ravens. He tallied six points on two goals and two assists, with one game-winning goal. Magee attempted 29 shots, including 13 shots on goal, and went 1-for-2 on penalty kicks.

Preber -- also a tri-captain -- started in all 17 games the Ravens played this fall as well, and led the team in scoring along the way. He finished tied for eighth in the Northeast-10 in goals (8), tied for ninth in assists (5) and tied for seventh in points (21). Along the way, Preber scored one game-winning goal and attempted 42 shots, including 23 on goal.

Ross was the team's highest-scoring freshman and also started in all 17 games this fall. He notched two goals and three assists to total seven points. Ross attempted 23 shots on the season, including 10 shots on goal.

Barnett, an imposing force on the back line, started in 14 games for Franklin Pierce. His offensive exploits came primarily through set pieces, and he collected five points on two goals and an assist. Barnett attempted 12 shots, including six on goal.

The Ravens finished the season at 5-9-3, including a 3-7-3 mark in Northeast-10 play.
