2011 SEASON REVIEW: A Season for the Record Books

A Historic Season in Rindge

2011 SEASON NOTES:

**Franklin Pierce finished the 2011 season with 21-1-1 overall record and a 12-0-1 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. The 21 wins were a program record for victories in a single season. Franklin Pierce also posted is first unbeaten regular season (16-0-1) in program history. The Ravens also opened the season with 22-straight matches without a loss, marking the longest such streak in program history.

**Franklin Pierce captured both the Northeast-10 Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships for the second-consecutive season. It marked the first time the feat was accomplished by an NE-10 team since Saint Anselm turned the trick in the 1998 and 1999 seasons.

**Franklin Pierce was ranked as high as No. 2 in the Division II national polls during the season, marking the second-straight year they were ranked among the top-two teams in the nation at some point during the season (the Ravens were ranked No. 1 in 2010 during the final month of the regular season).

**Franklin Pierce earned the No. 1 seed in Super Region I of the NCAA Division II Tournament, marking the second-straight year they received that seeding for the nationals.

**The Ravens downed Southern New Hampshire, 1-0, in the national quarterfinals to earn the school's fourth trip to the Division II Final Four. The 2011 squad joined the 1991, 2005 and 2007 teams as the only four squads in program history to reach the national semifinals.

**With a 1-0 win over Wilmington (Del.) on Sept. 4, Franklin Pierce claimed the 500th victory in program history. Through 47 seasons of intercollegiate competition, the Ravens are 519-242-64 for a 66.8 winning percentage.

**Franklin Pierce made its ninth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the 17th overall in program history. FPU is 15-16-4 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, including an impressive 12-6-3 mark since 2005, including three trips to the Final Four and one NCAA National Championship (2007).

**Franklin Pierce also received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for posting a team GPA of 3.12.
