Senatore Named NEILA Division II Coach of the Year, Five Earn Spots on NEILA All-Division II Team

RINDGE, N.H. (May 12, 2015) – Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse head coach, Rick Senatore was named the 2015 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division II Coach of the Year. Eddie Noonan (Foxboro, Mass.), Erik Kelly (Tewksbury, Mass.), Casey Burnett (Windham, N.H.), Sean Delea (Hampstead, N.H.), and Don Denman (Exeter, N.H.) were named to the NEILA All-Division II Team for their stand out performances this past season. Noonan, a senior attack, and senior defender Kelly were placed on NEILA's First-Team, while Burnett, Delea, and Denman were placed on the association's second-team

Coach Senatore led the Ravens to a 12-4 overall record and 8-3 in the conference. This marks best record in program history and their first appearance in post-season play, where they hosted Assumption in the quarterfinals and travelled to Le Moyne for the semi-finals, where they ended their monumental season. The Ravens drastically improved this year after going 6-7 (4-7 NE-10) a season ago. This is his fifth coach of the year award, his second from NEILA and was also named the Northeast-10 Coach of the Year. The team has received multiple appearances on several different polls, including the Nike/Men's Lacrosse Magazine poll for the first time.

Starting in all 16 games his senior season, Noonan records 59 total points which sets him second in Northeast-10. Of the 59 points, 40 are goals, ranking him second in the NE-10, and 19 are assists. Against Dominican (N.Y.), he scored five goals and tallied five assists which matched the program record for points in a game (10). He also scored eight goals against Notre Dame de Namur, tying the school record for goals in a single game and broke the school record for career goals. In his final regular season game against Adelphi, he was the first Raven in program history to score 100 career goals.

 Noonan is no stranger to NEILA accolades, being named to the NEILA All-Preseason team, and being honored by NEILA in all four post-seasons of his career. He was named the association's 2011 rookie of the year, while also being named to its second-team. A year later in 2012 he was placed on NEILA's Division II First-Team, and placed on NEILA's Division II Second-Team last season. This marks Noonan's second post season accolade, being named to the All-Northeast-10 Second Team earlier this post-season.

Midfielder, Erik Kelly, started all 16 games of his senior season recording 28 points to earn a spot on NEILA's First-Team. He scored 16 goals this season, ranking fourth on the team in this category, and assisted in 12 others. Kelley also collected 17 ground balls and caused 4 turnovers. He garnered four points against Notre Dame de Namur (3/7) scoring three goals and recording an assist, while collecting three ground balls. He also scored three goals against Bentley (3/13).

Denman earned his first major award this post season recording 8.59 goals against average and a 59.1 save percentage, ranking him fourth in the NE-10 in both categories. His 192 saves ranked him third in the league, marking a fourth-consecutive season he ranks among the top-five in the NE-10 in stops. He recorded his best season and continues to hold the program record for most wins in a season with 12 wins. He made double-digit saves 12 contest, including stopping a season-high 22 against nationally-ranked Merrimack (3/24). He also recorded 21 saves against Adelphi (4/25).

Denman was also named to the NEILA All-Preseason team earlier this season and named to NEILA's First-Team last season. 

Burnett, a junior attack, was named to the NEILA Second-Team starting all 16 games. He tallied 45 points to rank second on the team in that category, as he also ranked second on the team in goals scoring 35. Assisting in 10 other goals, he also collected 26 ground balls and caused five turnovers. Against Notre Dame de Namur (3/7), at Assumption (3/21), and against Saint Anselm ( 4/18) he tallied a season high of five points, scoring four goals and adding in a single assist in all three games.  He also scored four goals at AIC (4/1).

Freshman midfielder, Sean Delea, earns his first post-season award being named to the NEILA Second-Team. He ranked third on the team for goals, scoring 17 and assisting in three others for a total of 20 points. He recorded his career high of five goals at Post (3/11).
