Don Denman Named NE-10 Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week
Second honor for Denman this season

University standout Don Denman (Exeter, N.H.) on
Monday was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Lacrosse
Goalie of the Week, as announced by the league. It marked the first
weekly conference honor for the program this season.
Denman earned the accolade after compiling a pair of impressive performances in net in helping to guide the Ravens to back-to-back wins last week. He averaged 11.5 saves per game, while yielding just 4.0 goals per game, as Franklin Pierce downed Post, 11-5, on Tuesday, and then picked up an impressive 10-3 conference road win at Saint Rose on Saturday.
Denman made 15 saves and gave up just five markers in the win over Post, as he recorded double-figure saves for the 11th-consecutive game dating back to last season. He followed up Tuesday’s showing with an eight-save effort (only 3 goals allowed) in the triumph at Saint Rose.
Denman has started all four games in goal for Franklin Pierce this season, and is 3-1 with a 65.3 percent save percentage and a 6.91 goals against average. He ranks second in the NE-10 in save percentage, while ranking third with 49 overall stops. His GAA is the fourth-best mark in the league. Monday’s honor marks the second for Denman this season, as he was also named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Preseason All-Division II Team.
Denman and the Ravens have a mid-week bye, but return to action this Saturday when they travel to take on No. 2 nationally ranked Adelphi at 4 p.m. in New York.
