Northeast-10 Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Release (PDF)

RINDGE, N.H. (November 13, 2018) – Freshman forward Anthony Nikolopoulos (Burlington, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team has been selected as Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Nov. 11, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Nikolopoulos tallied three points on two goals and an assist in a 1-1-0 week for the Ravens. He also recorded seven shots and went +2 on the week. Nikolopoulos tallied a goal and an assist in Tuesday night’s 5-3 win at home over Saint Anselm. He later added a power-play goal in an 8-2 loss at Saint Michael’s on Friday night.

On the season, Nikolopoulos has played in all five games and is tied for second on the team in scoring, with four points on three goals and one assist. He has tallied one power-play goal, recorded nine shots on goal and is -1 on the year.

It is Nikolopoulos’ first career NE10 weekly award.

The Ravens return to the ice on Saturday, Nov. 17, when they travel to Stonehill for an NE10 contest. Opening faceoff is set for 5:10 p.m. at Foxboro Sports Center in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
