Saffell Leads Ravens With Top 10 Finish at Penmen Invitational
CONCORD, N.H. (9/26/23) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team hit the greens at Concord Country Club on Monday and Tuesday and finished in 8th place at the Penmen Invitational Golf Tournament.
After two days, three rounds, and 54 holes, the Ravens finished up with a combined score of 290-298-302—890 (+50). The Raven's had a solid first day on the course after the team finished in fourth place, but slipped up in the second and third round. Post University brought home the top spot after the team shot a combined 292-283-293—868 (+28).
Individually, Franklin Pierce sophomore Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.) shot a team best 72-70-75—217 (+7) and finished up in 9th place overall.
Senior Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) was the only other Raven to make the top 20 after he finished the three rounds with a score of 72-75-72 – 219 (+9) which landed him in 15th overall.
