Men's Golf Finish 4th in Home Opener
Townsend, MA (9/11/2023) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team opened its 2023 fall season Sunday and Monday at home hosting the FPU Fall invitational at Northern Spy Golf Club in Townsend, Massachusetts.
After the two days off golf that were shifted around due to weather delays, FPU men's golf finished 4th out of 11 with a combined score of 583 (+23).
Individually, junior Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.) was the top finisher for the Ravens, shooting a 72-72—144 (+4) including 5 birdies and 23 pars over 36 holes. His efforts led to an 18th place out of 63 total golfers.
Freshman Matt Weed (Marblehead, Mass.) was the only other FPU golfer to make the top 25 after he finished with a 72-73—145 earning 22nd overall.
