CANDIA, N.H. (4/18/23) – The Franklin Pierce men's golf team posted a 590 (297-293) team score to win the Saint Anselm College Hawk Invitational on Monday, April 17^th and Tuesday, April 18^th at the Par-71 Candia Woods Golf Links.

It is the second time in 2022-23 that the Ravens have claimed a top-finish in a tournament, and the first since they hosted the Franklin Pierce Invitational back on Monday, September 19^th.

A pair of Ravens finished as the top two on the individual leaderboard, led by a 1^st overall performance from sophomore Peter Wurst (Wilbraham, Mass.) who shot a three-over-par 145 (73-72) through two rounds. Directly behind Wurst was a close tied for 2^nd finish from senior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.), who turned in a 146 (72-74) card to finish four-over-par over the two day stretch. Sosik drew even with Assumption's Mason Gillman (72-74) and Dominican's Alejandro Gomez (70-76).  

Freshman Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.) would be the only other Raven to crack the top-10 individually, as he bounced back after a shaky first round to tie for 9^th with a 151 (78-73) card, jumping ahead from a previous 28^th position in the overall leaderboards.
