BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (4/4/23) – Through two rounds of play, freshman Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.) finished atop the player leaderboards to lead the Franklin Pierce men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the AIC Yellowjacket Invitational, held at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, Connecticut on Monday, April 3^rd and Tuesday, April 4^th.

Through the two-day showdown, the Ravens shot a team card of 589 (+29), scoring a 297 in round one and a 292 in round two. Following his 2^nd-overall performance last week in Florida, Seth Saffell claimed his first collegiate tournament win, turning in a combined two-round score of 139 (70-69) to go -1, his lowest score to date. Also breaking into the top-10 was senior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.), who finished in a three-way tie for 7^th overall following a 145 (72-73) score across two rounds, improving upon his score from last week by one stroke.

Junior Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) tied for 11^th with a 147 (76-71) card, while freshman Riley Richards (East Montpelier, Vt.) shot a 160 (81-79) to tie for 41^st. Sophomore Jack Paterson (Franklin, Mass.) came in just behind Richards at 46^th overall, shooting a 163 (79-84).
