E. SANDWICH, Mass. (April 6, 2021) – The Franklin Pierce University Men's Golf program played a 36 hole tournament on Tuesday at the Sandwich Hollows Golf Club hosted by Northeast-10 Conference program Bentley University.

The Ravens placed second out of eight teams on the par 71, 6,307-yard course. As a team, they shot 618 (+50) on the day and took second strokes off their total the second time through the course. Bentley brought home the team title at 605 (+37) and Southern New Hampshire University brought home third at 621 (+53).

Graduate students Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) and Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) were the two Raven golfers to rank within the top-10 on the player leaderboard. Myers totaled a 149 (+7) and shot a team-low 72 (+1) for fifth place. Plis dropped seven strokes off his round one total to tie for ninth at 153 (+11).

Freshman Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) was a consistent performer turning in 77 (+6) and 78 (+7) 18 hole scores for a 155 (+13) and a tie for 13th. Sophomore Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) fired a 161 (+19) and graduate student Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) shot a 173 (+31).

The men's squad will be back in action on Friday at the Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth, N.H.
