HEBRON, Conn. (March 23, 2021) – The Franklin Pierce University Men's Golf team hit the road to open up the 2021 season with an invitational hosted by the University of Hartford and the Blackledge Country Club. Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.)  and Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) paced Franklin Pierce to a fourth-place finish with a 73 (+1) and 78 (+6) respectfully.

Both Myers and Donohue return to action after making appearances at the 2018-19 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regionals. The Duo did enough to tie for 16th place in the opening round of the 2021 season.

Not far behind were Sophomores Jack Hogan (Westfield, Mass.) and Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) with a pair of 80 (+8) tying for 23rd place. Senior Dylan Plis (Camillus, NY) finished the round with an 84 (+12) to round out the Ravens scorecard.

As a team, the Ravens shot a combined 311 (+23) good for fourth place. Third place Fairfield University found themselves with a slim nine-stroke lead over Franklin Pierce.

The next stop for the Men's Golf team is this Thursday at the Granite State Spring Opener in Candia Woods, N.H.
