KEENE, N.H. (September 3, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf program upended Saint Michael's College in a season-opening head-to-head stroke play competition Sunday at the Keene Country Club.

The Ravens shot 293 (+5) over the 18 holes while the Purple Knights recorded a 327 (+39) showing. Three Raven athletes placed with the top-3 as sophomore Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) led all players at 69 (-3). Anthony Vincequere (Millbury, Mass.) and Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) tied for second place with 73 (+1) scorecards.

Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) and Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) rounded out the Raven scoring producing 78 (+6) and 79 (+7) rounds.

Nate Goldsnider (Bolton, Conn.), Jason Vadnais (Arundel, Maine) and Conner MacDonald (Kennebunkport, Maine) all participated as individuals. Goldsnider stroked an 80 (+8) with Vadnais (81, +9) and MacDonald (85, +13) also chipping in.

Matt Johnson was the best Saint Michael's Golfer as he shot a 77 (+5).

The Crimson and Grey head back to the links on Sunday when they host the FPU Fall Invitational.
