GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (October 10, 2015) – Sophomores Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) and Chris Pasto (Newton, N.H.) each shot a team-best 79 (+8) to put themselves in a tie for 24^th as the Franklin Pierce University Men's Golf team currently sits fifth overall out of 12 teams in the Saint Rose Shootout at Pinehaven Country Club. The course has a par of 71.

With Simpson and Pasto setting the pace at 79, the Ravens got a solid pair of 80 (+9) from both senior Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) and sophomore Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.), putting the duo in a tie for 28^th. Rounding out the Raven participation for the day was senior Travis Landry (Loudon, N.H.) who shot an 85 (+14), sitting in a tie for 48^th.

Leading the pack individually is Jake Nutter from Southern New Hampshire University, who shot a 68 (-3) for the lone share of the lead. On the team leaderboard, Roberts Wesleyan College has a two stroke lead over second-place Southern New Hampshire, while the top five going down to the Ravens are all within 20 strokes of the lead.

The Ravens return to the course tomorrow for the second round of the Saint Rose Shootout.
