Bean Places First, Men’s Bowling Ends Campaign With Second Place Finish

BABYLON, N.Y. (February 10, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's bowling team wrapped up their 2017-18 slate with a second place finish at the Suffolk Community College Bowling Tournament at the AMF Babylon Lanes in Babylon, N.Y.

The second place finish was the highest of the campaign for the Crimson and Grey. FPU knocked down 6,204 pins over the course of the day with 2,708 coming during the doubles series and 2,685 in the singles portion and the rest during the Baker scoring.

Sophomore Connor Bean (Windsor, Vt.) took home the All Events Title by dropping 1,236 pins, a new school six-game series record while averaging a 206 score over all games. Bean bested Suffolk's Ryan DiMaggio by four pins for the title. He was also selected to the All-Tournament Team while knocking over an event-high 247 in his first game of the day. Joining Bean on the All-Tournament squad was fifth place finisher William Robinson (Keene, N.H.) and sixth place bowler Ben Drogue (Keene, N.H.). Robinson and Drogue totaled 1,095 and 1,070 pins respectively.

Teammates Ryan DesRuisseaux (Goffstown, N.H.) and Randy Washington tallied 1,043 and 949 pins as well.
