Men's Basketball: Ravens Fall Hard to Bentley Falcons, 102-54

RINDGE, N.H (2/21/2024) -- The Franklin Pierce men's basketball team dropped its worst loss of the season Tuesday night in a 102-54 game against the Falcons of Bentley University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• It was a rough first half for the Ravens as they were outscored 49-19 to the Falcons. 
• Things didn't improve in the second half as Bentley scored 53 points and pulled away for their 19th win of the season. 
• Only one Franklin Pierce player scored in double figures. Junior forward Ja'Keese Kemp (Lakeland, FL) had 10 points and shot 4 for 12 from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds. 
• Bentley sophomore guard Cash McClure led all scorers with 23 points and shot 8 for 10 from the field. He was a perfect 3 for 3 from behind the arc and 4 for 4 from the charity stripe. 
• Bentley senior guard Zach Laput finished the evening with 20 points, shot 7 for 15 from the field, and was 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.  

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
• Franklin Pierce shot 35% from the field (23 for 65). Bentley shot 53% from the field (38 for 72) 
• Franklin Pierce shot 17% from behind the arc (4 for 24). Bentley shot 48% from behind the arc (15 for 31). 
• Franklin Pierce shot 80% from the free throw line (4 for 5). Bentley shot 85% from the free-throw line (11 for 13). 
• Franklin Pierce had 19 turnovers.  
• Bentley had 26 points off turnovers and 44 points in the paint.  
• The Falcons had 23 fastbreak points and 36 bench points.

• The Franklin Pierce Ravens have their final home game of the regular season on Saturday, February 24, as they take on Southern Connecticut State University, with tip-off at 3:30 p.m.
