Men's Basketball: Ravens Fall by One-Point in Overtime Battle Against Pace University

RINDGE, N.H (1/3/2024) -- The Ravens and Setters had players on their feet and fans on the edge of their seats Wednesday night in a showdown that left the teams deadlocked at 59 a-piece after 40-minutes. During the five minute overtime period, Pace was able to outscore Pierce 8-7 and grab the single point victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Junior forward Sean Trumper (Ashford, United Kingdom) led all scorers with 25 points. He shot 8 for 14 from the field and was 7 for 10 from the free-throw line. He has 11 games in double figures and seven where he scored 20 or more points. Trumper also finished the night with 10 rebounds to pick up his third double-double of the season
• Sophomore Ugo Nwachukwu (Imo State, Nigeria) finished the night with 11 points and shot 3 for 6 from the field and was 5 for 6 from the charity stripe. Nwachukwu has nine games in double figures this season.
• The game was tied at 24 heading into halftime. In the second half, both teams kept trading baskets.
• For Pace, graduate forwards Bryan Powell and Sean Bresnan combined for 31 points.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
• Franklin Pierce shot 42% from the field (23 for 55). Pace shot 43% from the field (24 for 56)
